Justin Smaluch is a Director and Financial Adviser at MJ Financial Planning Chiefs, a business he co-founded to help Australians make confident financial decisions and achieve their long-term goals.

With more than a decade of experience in financial services, Justin has worked with hundreds of clients across a wide range of life stages, helping them build wealth, plan for retirement, manage superannuation, protect their families through personal insurance, and create lasting financial security.

Justin holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) from Swinburne University and has completed the prestigious Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation. He also holds an Advanced Diploma of Financial Planning and a Diploma of Finance. Justin is a member of the Financial Advice Association Australia (FAAA).

Known for his practical and down-to-earth approach, Justin enjoys helping clients simplify complex financial decisions and develop clear strategies that align with their values and lifestyle. His focus is on empowering clients to save more, invest wisely, and build confidence in their financial future.

Whether clients are just starting out, growing their wealth, preparing for retirement, or navigating major life changes, Justin is passionate about providing personalised advice that helps them achieve what matters most.

Outside of work, Justin enjoys spending time with his partner and daughter, Matilda, as well as their two cats, Finnigan and Franjo. He enjoys gardening, working on home improvement projects, and playing football for the Tooradin Football Club. Most of all, he loves experiencing life’s adventures through the eyes of his young daughter. Go Pies!

Michael completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) at Swinburne University, and has since completed his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, along with an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and a Diploma of Mortgage Broking.

Michael is a Director, Financial Planner and Mortgage Broker at MJ Financial Chiefs, a business he co-founded in 2018. With over seven years leading the business, Michael has helped hundreds of clients across all life stages. He specialises in, first home buyers, home lending, helping clients save money and build wealth, and retirement planning, including the setup of account based pensions.

Michael enjoys helping clients save money, build wealth and put clear plans in place so they can live the life they want with confidence.

Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his partner and their two young daughters, where dance parties are a regular occurrence. He plays cricket with the Berwick Cricket Club, keeps active at the gym, and is a passionate supporter of the Carlton Football Club.

Joining the Chiefs in early 2022, Dylan assists Michael and Justin with credit analysis, loan processing and client engagement. Dylan also assists with marketing where the Chiefs announce client home purchases, refinance savings as well as the fan-favourite ‘Chiefs Financial Briefs’. Dylan is completing a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics and Finance, with specific interest in macroeconomics and financial markets.

Outside the office, Dylan engages in sport year round, playing cricket and umpiring for the VAFA, where he is also the Treasurer of the VAFA Umpires Association. Dylan enjoys following the many movements of the share market as well as growing a range of veges in the backyard.
