MJ Financial Chiefs was established in 2018, our mission is to provide expert financial strategies that enrich lives, fostering financial well-being and enabling our clients to achieve their goals.
Since beginning the business in 2018 we have specialised in helping a vast clientele in areas including Financial Planning and Mortgage Broking.

Justin Smaluch
Justin completed his Bachelor in Commerce (Entrepreneurship and Innovation) at Swinburne university alongside Michael.
Whilst working full time at a Financial Planning firm he also completed his Certified Financial Planning CFP®, Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and Diploma in Mortgage Broking.
In 2018 Justin and Michael brought their industry experience and 10 years of study together and established MJ Financial Chiefs.
While being a current Director, Justin is also an accredited Financial Planner and Mortgage Broker for MJ Financial Chiefs. He loves helping friends and family and the wider community get on top of their finances.
Outside work Justin loves to go for a fish with mates, gardening and plays footy for the Tooradin Football Club and of course spending time with his Partner and cat Finnigan. When he has a free moment he will take every chance to do some travelling and explore the surroundings.

michael wallace
Michael completed his Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting and Finance) at Swinburne University, and has since completed his Certified Financial Planner (CFP®) designation, along with an Advanced Diploma in Financial Planning and a Diploma of Mortgage Broking.
Michael is a Director, Financial Planner and Mortgage Broker at MJ Financial Chiefs, a business he co-founded in 2018. With over seven years leading the business, Michael has helped hundreds of clients across all life stages. He specialises in, first home buyers, home lending, helping clients save money and build wealth, and retirement planning, including the setup of account based pensions.
Michael enjoys helping clients save money, build wealth and put clear plans in place so they can live the life they want with confidence.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys spending time with his partner and their two young daughters, where dance parties are a regular occurrence. He plays cricket with the Berwick Cricket Club, keeps active at the gym, and is a passionate supporter of the Carlton Football Club.

dylan Shipperd
Joining the Chiefs in early 2022, Dylan assists Michael and Justin with credit analysis, loan processing and client engagement. Dylan also assists with marketing where the Chiefs announce client home purchases, refinance savings as well as the fan-favourite ‘Chiefs Financial Briefs’. Dylan is completing a Bachelor of Business majoring in Economics and Finance, with specific interest in macroeconomics and financial markets.
Outside the office, Dylan engages in sport year round, playing cricket and umpiring for the VAFA, where he is also the Treasurer of the VAFA Umpires Association. Dylan enjoys following the many movements of the share market as well as growing a range of veges in the backyard.
